Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose born in Cuttack, Orissa on January 23rd 1897. Janakinath Bose and Prabhavati Devi were his parents.

Bose graduated from Presidency College in Kolkata. Later, he moved to England in 1919 to complte his further education.
He was so passionate about the freedom struggle that he quit his highly-coveted Indian Civil Service post to participate in it.
Bose, who was very courageous, joined the boycott movement for Prince of Wales's Indian visit in 1921 and was imprisoned.
He was in prison for a long time in 1924. In Burma, he was sent to Mandalay Jail to growing his popularity.
Bose was elected to the office of Mayor of Kolkata in recognition of his leadership skills and was unanimously elected President of the Indian National Congress 1938.
In 1939, he led the youth of India and formed his party, the Forward Block in the year 1939. This party refused to follow Mahatma Gandhi's guidelines.
Netaji was severely imprisoned in 1940 after the All-India-British Campaign had taken a toll on his personality.
Netaji's genius was evident in the disguise that brought him to Berlin, Germany in 1941. Everyone found him a Pathan.
