Sheryl Lee Ralph celebrates her Emmy win

Sheryl Lee Ralph, star of "Abbott Elementary", used her Emmy acceptance speech for the audience, and viewers everywhere to remind them that she has major pipes.

Ralph, who was on stage for her role as seasoned teacher Barbara Howard, won the Emmy award for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy.

She broke out into Dianne Reeves' song "Endangered Species."

She sang, "I am an endangered specie, but I sing no victim’s song," at the ceremony, bringing the whole audience to it's feet.

After that, she composed herself and sang a capella. Then she delivered a powerful victory speech.  

This is the first Emmy nomination and win for her.

At this year's ceremony, "Abbott Elementary", was nominated to receive seven Emmys.
